Job EARJ112D - Perform CCS Edits

RUN THIS JOB - As required.

This job executes the following programs (click to link to each program description):

Job Features and Functions

Job 112D performs the standard BLS Code Change Summary edits, listing Refiling File records with large or significant code changes. It is an optional job that the State can run to see in advance what exceptions would be on the BLS CCS edit, allowing the State to clean up the problems prior to submittal of final refiling deliverables.

When Job 112D performs a CCS edit, it produces two Edit Exception Reports that identify large or significant code changes between the most recent fourth and first calendar quarters on the Micro File. Job 013D must have been run previously to write the new refiling codes to the Micro File. This is essentially the standard BLS CCS edit program. It can be run by the State prior to submittal of the refiling deliverables on the first calendar quarter EQUI. The report allows the State analysts to review the exceptions that will be on the national CCS edit when BLS runs it. It provides the means to identify and clean up problems before submitting the first calendar quarter EQUI deliverable.

Job 112D requires fourth quarter or first quarter employment and wage data to perform CCS edits. For each record in the Refiling File, this job pulls this data from the Micro File along with old and new code data from the Refiling File prior to running the edit program.

The Exception Reports produced by Job 112D are the standard CCS Edit Reports currently provided to each State by BLS.
