Editing Flag (IMTQ-EDIT-FLAG(1))

This is the current quarter record edit flag, a one-byte field at position 724. This flag shows whether the account has been passed through the EXPO system micro edits in program ES2MI28. A ‘Y’ indicates that the edits have been completed and that no crucial errors exist (those numbered lower than code ‘091’). An ‘N’ shows that the edits still need to be performed, or that the edits have been performed and resulted in crucial-level edit exceptions. An ‘N’ can also mean that the record has experienced some form of modification since the last round of batch micro edits were run, so it needs to be re-edited as a safeguard.

This flag is set within the micro record by the exportable system. Any value set in the IMT record will be ignored. It is best to leave this field set to low-values.
