Job 249D - Produce Specialized Macro “Deliverable”

Es2j249d.png

The 249D job fulfills a form of stopgap role for BLS. It can write the contents of all macro records for one or more quarters directly to a file for transmittal to the National Office. This format is generally not needed, since the 011D and 246F deliverables provide eight quarters of macro data, which are generally sufficient without going to full listings found in this job. The only parameters are the ones that define the range of quarters to include in this special macro deliverable. These are described below.

1. Older Year/Quarter for Processing - This 3-digit year/quarter (yyq format) is the oldest one in the time span for which macro records need to be sent to BLS.

2. Newer Year/Quarter for Processing - The newest processed year/quarter (also in yyq format) may also match the older year/quarter parameter, if there is only one quarter to process. However, it cannot be earlier than the older quarter, by definition.

If Job 249D is required at all, it will be requested by BLS as part of the quarter clean-up process, probably shortly after the EQUI deliverable has been produced. This will rarely be the case.
