  • Job 029D must be run to generate a Flash Report for transmittal form totals

Job 249D is available for a specialized BLS macro deliverable file that is made available to comply with BLS’s “COOP” (Continuity Of Operations) project. The job will rarely be called upon, since standard EQUI and macro (Job 246F) deliverables will almost always be sufficient for BLS’s needs.

Job 249D generates a Macro Data File (YBUscX.A145.EQUI.MACRO.snYYQ) for the BLS National Office. This file is generated only at BLS request and usually prior to the initial EQUI. Its purpose is to supply BLS with early data that can be reviewed prior to submittal of the EQUI. If BLS notices significantly abnormal data, it will be requested that States research that data prior to submittal of the EQUI. The file is macro data pulled from the Macro File, except in the case of California and Utah where the data are pulled from the Micro File to exclude non-covered records. Job 241D should be run prior to 249D to insure that the latest micro data has been aggregated into the Macro File. The file includes records for each 6-digit NAICS, county, ownership total. An indicator exists at the end of each record to designate the record as NAICS-based.

A small report is also generated from Job 249D, with a record count on the EQUI Macro File. However, Job 029D should also be run to generate a flash report that contains the remaining totals needed for the BLS transmittal form. The BLS transmittal form notifies BLS that the EQUI Macro File is available for processing and provides control totals.

The output file from Job 249D is named YBUscX.A145.EQUI.MACRO.snYYQ.
