PLA Zip Code (IMT-PL-ZIP)

The zip code area is composed of two sub-fields. IMT-PL-ZIP-5 is the root zip code, located at positions 240 - 244. IMT-PL-ZIP-4 is the "Zip+4" extension code, located at positions 245 - 248. These represent the zip code of the physical location, as indicated by the other components of the address which have just been described. If the IMT-PL-STATE field is filled, the five-digit zip code must be filled in as well. The Zip+4 extension is optional. If the value of IMT-PL-ZIP-4 is known, it should be supplied here. Otherwise the field should be left as low-values. If no physical address is present, both fields should be left as low-values.
