This program is executed each time an EXPO CICS transaction is terminated by the user via the F3 key or Clear key. It clears the screen and leaves the job termination message. The last used transaction ID is also displayed in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. The presence of this transaction ID enables the user to return to the previous transaction by simply pressing the Enter key. Similarly, another transaction ID can be used by typing it over the displayed ID and pressing Enter.
Not every State will choose to use this program. Some non-Service Center States might use another high-level menu program or other control program to take over whenever an exit condition is encountered. States’ regulations may forbid the QCEW staff to access CICS in “native mode” (entering a CICS transaction ID directly to the screen). In such cases as these, all CICS programs in this system can be modified to redirect all references for the ES2KP01 program elsewhere, transferring to the standard, State-specific termination or higher-level control program.
