Publication Multi-Quarter Disk Output File Data Set Name: ES2.PUB.REPORT Service Center DSN: YBUssX.A145.PUB.REPORT, ('ss' = State FIPS code) Type of File: Sequential File Layout: ES2PUBF The "PUBF" Publication File Output is an optional output from the macro publication processing of Job 44D. This file receives the macro data that would normally appear on the publication report. Although the publication process has been designed to produce reports that are as close to camera-ready as possible, that is often considered insufficient in the light of the graphical and color capabilities of some PC-based publishing tools. Therefore, this is a downloadable file that enables publications to be transferred to a GUI-based environment. The "masked" format shown in the lower portion is able to omit any figures that are fully masked as non-disclosable. Two forms of publication disk output file exist. The "PUBF" file is used for multi-quarter applications, showing a synopsis of the data from the entire range of quarters. No individual months of employment are listed; only the average employment and average total wages appear. This format is automatically produced whenever the 44D parameters call for a quarter range. The alternative format (PUBQ) is produced for a single-quarter publication. That record layout is described next. |
