Wage Temporary File (optional)

Data Set Name:                   ES2.WAGE.DATA.TEMP

Service Center DSN:           YBUssX.A145.WAGE.DATA.TEMP, ('ss' = State FIPS code)

Type of File:                         Sequential

File Layout:                          ES2WTMP

The Wage Temporary File is produced in Job ES2J060D, written by the State-specific wage data aggregation program, ES2WA01.  This program gathers data from the State wage record file, merging and counting all employee records assigned to each employer.  The 26-byte records are then read into the Wage Summary merging (ES2WA02) program, which incorporates the data into the six-quarter Wage Summary File.  Thereafter the Wage Temporary File should be considered obsolete and deleted.   However, since this is a State-developed file, it is not deleted by the EXPO Job 60D process.  It is possible that this file may be used by the State for some additional external processing. This is a part of optional processing, since not all states use the Wage Summary File at this time.
