Conclusion

Although the Wage Summary File edits are included in the numbering scheme for the MicMac editing structure, they are not flagged on the Micro Edit File (as they are for the standard micro edits and the multi-balance exceptions). So the only way to see these exceptions is on the ES2WA03 edit report. To re-emphasize one point, Codes 191 through 197 are optional edits, since the Wage Summary File is not available to all States. If this information is available, however, BLS strongly encourages States to take advantage of this extra avenue for cleaning up potential errors in the micro-level data.
