Micro and Integrated Edit Processing (Program ES2MI28)
The micro and integrated edit program (ES2MI28) performs the BLS micro edits. These represent the most current and thorough edits available. The edits depend heavily upon the program constants in the Lookup File’s ‘PK’ records, described in the previous pages of this appendix.
Before the actual edits are performed, records are first pre-selected to determine whether a given account is to be edited. Since the edits are conducted for two quarters at once (an integral part of the MicMac implementation), the quarter-based selections are handled individually. The following steps are used for the newer quarter’s edit pre-selection. The older quarter’s processing is virtually identical.
