The companion to PK060, this 6-digit field is the New/Discontinued AME Limit. This introduces a slightly different manner of separating the more severe conditions in the 090-series edits from the standard edit codes in the 130’s. Instead of using one of the multipliers (PK053 or PK059), both the larger and smaller edit parameters are specified. New and discontinued establishments surpassing the PK061 limit end up with edit codes 139 or 140. The BLS default of 100 for this parameter can be decreased, but not increased.
