This 6-digit value is the Gross Error AME Cutoff, the minimum employment level to consider an employer for “gross error” flagging. If either this employment level is met, or the total wages exceed the PK068 value (described next), then employment and wage fluctuations, invalid codes, and several other conditions, can be flagged in the (Class “A”) Gross Errors Report found in Job 018D. Gross error notations are also available in the micro edits using the “G” sort parameter. The initial BLS default for this parameter is 20, though a higher default is anticipated eventually. The value cannot be increased beyond the BLS default without BLS approval.
