MOA Zip Code (IMAT-ZIP)

This is the full nine-digit ZIP code for the Mailing/Other Address, located in positions 119 - 127. For M/O addresses located within the U.S. or its territories, the appropriate ZIP code should be placed here. The root 5-digit ZIP code is needed, but the ZIP+4 extension is optional. For Canadian addresses, their standard format of “ANANAN” (where ‘A’ represents an alphabetic character and ‘N’ denotes a numeric digit) should be maintained. For other countries that employ some form of routing code (United Kingdom, Australia, etc.), the code should be included in the IMAT-CITY field along with the country name/abbreviation. For IMAT records that are not related to address information, this field should be left as low-values. All address-related records should fill in at least the 5-digit root ZIP code.
