Covered Employment

Covered Employment refers to employees who are subject to State Unemployment Insurance (UI) laws or the Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employee (UCFE) program. It is customary to count these "covered" employees in the QCEW micro data if they worked or received pay for the pay period that included the 12th day of the month.
