Estimating Cell

Estimates made at the most basic or lowest level (or strata). All higher-level strata are aggregations of estimating cells. For establishment surveys, the most commonly used estimating cell structure is industry code, area, and size of establishment. For household surveys, the most commonly used estimating cell structure is demographic characteristics.
