CICS On-Line Transactions
In both the EXPO and EARS systems, CICS on-line transaction screens are provided to allow users to add, delete, modify, or view records on the various files. For the EXPO system, the Micro File, Macro File, MOA File, Lookup File, Alpha Locator File, Narrative Comment File, Roll-up Parameter File, Transaction Files, and others are accessible through on-line CICS screens. For the EARS system, the Refiling File has on-line access. File data viewed through the CICS screens are live and show current information. Updates to files through CICS are immediate.
