Job 119D is the non-classified account version of the Survey SMR, produced on-demand for a snapshot of the progress in assigning industry codes to those that had formerly been unclassified. Unlike the Jobs 106D and 106M (the standard SMR counterpart), the summary data presented in the NCA-SMR is simple and direct, requiring only a single page to list the statistics. Since this is an ongoing process, the percentages may both rise and fall throughout the refiling year as new accounts are added with each new quarter. Statistics are based on micro records, using the NCA response code contained there. This field will be cleared out each year with the submittal of the 100A job.
Job 119D summarizes information on Micro File non-classified records. It produces both a file and a report. The report includes the last mailing date, number of accounts, and percent of units and employment represented by the non-classified records. A count of records in each response code 01, 02, and 03 is provided. In addition, a count of response code 04 records (carryover) is provided. Finally, a count of total NCA forms mailed, coded, and received by response code is also displayed.
Prior to generating the report, this job also changes the NCA response code to 64 for records that are inactive in the current quarter and to 41 for records that have received a valid non-9’s NAICS code in the current quarter.
In addition to the report described above, the file produced by Job 119D can be downloaded and transmitted to the BLS Regional Office.
