- Produces two data files for the MLS (Mass Layoff Statistics) program for CIPSEA-compliant records (which need to be “fuzzed”)
- Those are the ones that have “A” for ACES in one or more of the monthly employment indicators
- All of the other records come through as they are
- Pulls one quarter of data from the Micro File
- Parameter specifies the Micro File quarter and employment cutoff
- Two disk files are generated
- YBUscX.A145.JOB34D.DATALRG (where ‘sc’ is the State FIPS code; firms above employment parameter cutoff - record length 194)
- YBUscX.A145.JOB34D.DATASML (where ‘sc’ is the State FIPS code; firms below employment parameter cutoff - record length 20)
- The file output from this job is used as input to the state’s MLS program
Job 034C mirrors the functions of Job 034D, except the file produced are “fuzzied” to make them CIPSEA-compliant for sharing with external agencies.
