Job Features and Functions
- Compares physical addresses on a selected Input Geocode Transaction (IGT) File with physical addresses for the same records in the Micro File
- IGT records that are different from Micro File are listed on a report
- CICS is not disabled while Job is running
Job 035S is a special utility for comparing the street address of the IGT record against the current physical location street address on the Micro File, noting those that have more than the acceptable number of discrepancies. The utility of this job has not yet been proven, since some addresses may be expressed in similar, yet distinctly different manners. Since IGT data lack suite numbers, it can account for a significant number of the disparities.
When the comparison identifies records that have at least 10 digits in the physical address field that are different between the two files, they are listed on the report. The State can review these differences and determine if the BLS address is preferential to the Micro File address. When a BLS-preferred address is found, it can be entered into the Micro File through the ES2C screen. No automatic method for updating the IGT addresses to the Micro File currently exists.
