Job ES2J062D - Add a Quarter Pair to the Potential Pred/Succ File
RUN THIS JOB - As required.
This job executes the following programs (click to link to each program description):
Job Features and Functions
- Updates the P/S Potential (PSP) File that is used by the ES2G screen for any two consecutive quarters on the Micro File
- Uses State-prepared ETT (Employee Transfer Transaction) File as input to update the PSP File
- No year/quarter Job parameter is required – determined from input tape
- Input file replaces any data on PSP File for same year/quarter
- Does not append
- If input file is for a new quarter, it is added to the PSP File
- Any quarters on the PSP File that are older the parameter setting 3 – 7 are deleted
Job 062D merges a predecessor/successor quarter pair of Employee Transfer Transaction (ETT) records into the Predecessor/Successor Potentials (PSP) File (formerly known as the Employment Transfer File). The ETT File is created with a State-specific wage record extraction program. This data can be accessed through the ES2G CICS screen.
States may develop their own version of Job 062D to create the ETT File. A pattern in-stream JCL for this job has been provided with the EXPO system. It will need to be tailored to State needs, since all Wage Record Files will be set up in a somewhat different manner.
