Job Features and Functions

  • Produces county-by-county summary in industry sequence
  • There is an option for Statewide report in industry sequence
  • Reports includes data for four consecutive quarters on Macro File
  • Aggregates data on CES- or 202-level - this is a Lookup File setting

  • There is also an option for or 6-, 5-,4-, 3-, and 2-digit NAICS level or 4, 3, 2, SIC and/or major division totals

Job 245A produces and prints annual labor market information reports. Unlike the reports produced from the Micro File in Job 007D, these annual reports are generated with data from the Macro File (in general, unless the p-percent algorithm is called for, which will automatically bring in micro-level data). Since more historical data are available on the Macro File, a greater time series is available for generation of data. Levels of industry detail can be specified.

Because the source file for this job is the Statewide or County Macro File, as many quarters of historical data can be produced with this job as is stored on the Macro Files. The design of the State and County Macro Files allows storage of an unlimited number of quarters.

Two basic types of reports are available in this job. The first is a statewide report by industry. The second is a county report by industry. Under the county report option, it is also possible to generate a report for a single or multiple-county area that is in a predefined MSA. Either a county level or a statewide report can be generated for any four consecutive quarters on the macro file. Also, for either a county level or statewide report, industry detail can be specified at 4-digit SIC, 3-digit SIC, 2-digit SIC, and/or major division level. The report can also be produced for 6-digit, 5-digit, 4-digit, 3-digit, or 2-digit, NAICS, and/or major division level.
