File Record Layouts Introduction
The File Records Layout documentation is an in depth description of each file used in the EXPO/EAR system. The document is highly-referenced throughout the rest of the documentation library and is considered the single, complete source of information on EXPO files.
Included in each file description is the record and field lengths of the files, which corresponds to its method of programming in COBOL and how it is processed on the mainframe. The associated charts can assist QCEW staff in making sense of, or formatting, reports. The bottom portion of each file record layout gives a detailed description of the file and the corresponding jobs and programs that use it.
