Labels Temporary File Data Set Name: WS.ES202.LABEL.TEMP Service Center DSN: YBUssX.A145.LABEL.TEMP, ('ss' = State FIPS code) Type of File: Sequential File Layout: ES2LTMP The Labels Temporary File is generated to represent mailing address blocks for printing labels, or for transfer to external processes for preparing State-specific forms. When used for label printing, the seven lines of data are transferred directly to labels (generally 4" wide and 1½" high). When used as an output file, the data are generally either downloaded to a PC or are read into a mainframe program to prepare a specific form, such as a late data notice, requesting employment data when only wages have been supplied thus far. This file is generated in Jobs 10D and 20D, but is also sometimes created in the MWR print jobs (12D, 12F, and 12R) when no useable windowed envelopes can be found to use with the MWR forms. Normally these jobs will only use the data files for input into label printing programs within the jobs themselves. However, when a file output is requested, the file will be kept available for whatever utilitarian purposes await it. |
