Second M-L-S Output File Data Set Name: WS.ES202.JOB34D.DATASML Service Center DSN: YBUssX.A145.JOB34D.DATASML, ('ss' = State FIPS code) Type of File: Sequential File Layout: ES2MLS2 The Second Mass Layoff Statistics (MLS) Output File (also known as the Small-Record MLS File) is produced by the 34D job as part of the output to the Mass Layoff Statistics Unit. A parameter specified in the job declares an employment split level to use for the job's processing. Only establishments with employment that falls below this limit are included in the Second MLS File. Since this file represents the smaller employers, who rarely will have a significant contribution to a mass layoff, there is little information included in this record, compared to the First MLS File (described on the previous page). Once the 34D job has completed execution, this file is available for processing or download by or for the MLS staff. It is not deleted by the job, as it is essentially a deliverable. |
