Third ALMIS Extract File Data Set Name: WS.JOB47D.DATA3n (where 'n' is a value from 1 to 9, based on the parameter set processed) Service Center DSN: YBUssX.A145.JOB47D.DATA3n ('ss' = State FIPS code, 'n' is a value from 1 to 9, based on the parameter set processed) Type of File: Sequential File Layout: ES2ALMS This is the latest of the ALMIS extract formats, a minor revision of the second file, differing only in two respects. First, the TOPEMP (highest employment) field has been removed so that only the highest average monthly employment (AME) is polled. Second, the contribution field (near the end of the record) was brought into alignment with macro-data standards by using a 12-digit, rather than a 9-digit field. This will soon become the standard format, but the ALM2 file will remain during the transitional period. All three of the ALMIS extract files are produced by Job 247D. They are used by different branches of ALMIS personnel. Since the ALMIS system is outside the scope of EXPO general processing, these files are produced here merely as an interface mechanism. There is no direct linkage between EXPO and ALMIS; in addition, no quid-pro-quo organization is provided, since this is a unidirectional data transfer. |
