DMA Service Center Logon

DMA, or Data Management Associates, is the contracted facility that handles the EXPO Service Center States. It operates out of their primary data center in Florida, and provides both batch and CICS services to the contracted States. To be connected, all States must have a T1, T3, or 56KB line installed. It also works with Attachmate software for connectivity, and Reflection software for FTP processing. It is possible to use other software, but these are the BLS standards, and will be described in this document. The newer version of Attachmate (V9.3 of EXTRA! Extreme) and Reflection (FTP Client SP3 for 14.1.397) includes security authorization, so that encryption can be enacted on data that would be transmitted to the DMA Center, and the BLS National Office, which acts as a go-between.

DMA controls the logon applications, printer IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, and other items that were established by BLS National Office systems staff. These things are necessary to establish a link between the PCs and printers of the State’s QCEW staff and the EXPO and EARS files residing on the DMA computer. State system staff must also establish menu screens on QCEW-unit PCs with icons to facilitate user access into the EXPO system at DMA. When these things are in place, State members can log on to DMA and remotely process QCEW and refiling data on the DMA computer.
