NAICS Code Check - Code 010
At one time, this was listed as Code 071, when NAICS took a far-back seat (behind SIC and NSTA) in the priority scheme. Now, NAICS is the top dog, SIC is a byline, and NSTA hardly even exists any more. This edit checks the contents of the valid NAICS table in the Lookup File’s “NA” records. If it is found, the NAICS is considered valid.
As with all other edits numbered below 090, this is a crucial-level exception that locks the edit flag. BLS classification: A.1.2 or B.1.2 (depending on the size of the establishment). EXPO “G” code: A010 or B010.
