Set-Up Date Format Check - Code 023
This edit performs the same year, month, and day-of-month validation as was already described for Code 021, but applied to the set-up date field instead. However, if the set-up date field is blank, this edit is bypassed. The same date overrides as described for the EOL date will be applied to the set-up date as well. For a numeric, non-zero date, if the format is found to be invalid, the date field will be flagged in the edit report with underscores and duly noted in the Micro Edit File. This condition is a crucial-level error that will reappear in subsequent edits if the date is not corrected. BLS classification: C.1.4. EXPO “G” code: C023.
