Federal Type of Coverage Check - Code 056
Federal accounts must show a type of coverage code value of ‘9’. This edit ensures that all Federal accounts (ownership code ‘10’) have the correct type of coverage (‘9’). It also verifies that any account with a type of coverage of ‘9’ has an ownership of ‘10’. If not, the type of coverage code will be noted and underscored in the edit report. This is a crucial error that locks the edit flag in the ‘N’ position, meaning that the account will be continually re-edited on subsequent runs until the type of coverage agrees with the Federal ownership code. BLS classification: A.1.4 or B.1.5, based on employment level. EXPO “G” code: A056 or B056.
