Multi-Balance Warning Messages

The multi balance program inspects the data for several unusual situations. These conditions could indicate a problem in how the family was established. The information for these conditions – which are called warning messages – is found in the family summarization data supplied by the ES2UT01 program, prior to the multi balance program’s execution. This program not only sums the worksites’ employment and wage fields, but also keeps track of the number of active (for the processed quarter) worksites present for the family, and whether a master account even exists on the Micro File. Occasionally worksites are established without setting up a master account, which can cause genuine confusion of processing when the worksites appear on the EQUI tape, but the absence of a master account gives the impression that the worksites do not compose a multi-family at all.


There are seven distinct warning messages that can appear on the Warning Messages Report. These are listed below.
