A 6-digit value represents the Maximum Zero-Employment Wage, given in dollars. This notes the maximum value for quarterly total wages that will not fail an edit for zero employment. It is employed in edit codes 094 and 131. This field is also used in some estimation methods (see Appendix D). BLS has established a default value of $10,000 for this field. This value can be decreased to tighten the allowable tolerance, but it cannot be expanded above the $10,000 value.
