PK015

This 2-digit tolerance carries two separate definitions. The original title of this parameter was the Maximum Employment for New or Discontinued Singles, the highest allowable employment level for the first reported month of a new single, or the last reported month of a terminated single (if no predecessor/ successor relationships exist). This was applied to accounts with the MEEI code set to ‘1’ (singles) and ‘6’ (known multi’s not separated into worksite detail since combined employment less than 10). The new definition is as the Pred/Succ Lower Parameter, a rather ambiguous title established for the new predecessor/ successor editing method. It is used in tandem with the revised PK016 value, noted below to determine eligibility for predecessor/successor flagging. BLS has called for a 6-digit parameter here, but the conversion has not yet taken place. However, the BLS default falls far below 99, so this is not yet a pressing need for this size upgrade. The BLS default value for the original parameter was 10 employees. The new field definition carries a BLS default of 25. This value can be decreased, but cannot be increased beyond the 25-employee limit.
