This is a 6-digit value for the Large Family Employment Balance Tolerance, in employee count units. Families with total employment meeting or exceeding the limit of PK031 must have the employment in balance to within this PK034 tolerance to avoid being flagged for a balance exception. BLS’s default value for this tolerance is 100 employees. This tolerance can be reduced for a more restrictive large-family edit, but must not exceed the 100-employee maximum.
