PK066

A 6-digit field represents the Invalid EIN AME Cutoff parameter, which is a replacement to the EIN portion of the PK006 parameter. Those establishments with an AME below this threshold value will not be flagged for an invalid EIN number (such as ‘001234567’ or ‘999999999’, edit code 045). Even though these ought to be cleaned up by the Contributions unit staff, they are too small to flag for the QCEW-related edit exceptions. The established BLS default value is 5 employees (making the 6-digit length generally useless). A lower value may be substituted for more complete edit flagging, but the limit should not exceed 5 without the pre-approval of BLS.
