Job 084C - Load the IMT and IMAT Data from the Micro and MOA Files

Es2j084c.png

Job 084C has been set up to help test the QUEST System by having a fully-populated data set, rather than relying on a partial IMT or a non-existent IMAT File to process. One of the problems with IMT data is that it would have addresses, EIN’s etc., for only a small number of accounts, and would have current-quarter employment and wages for the majority of accounts; however, this would have no history for the account. The IMAT record was generally completely inaccessible, and could not be created except by manual manipulation of the records. This has been reconciled with this job, which has a particular number of hundreds of U-I accounts that will be included in the IMT, and the same accounts will be processed into the IMAT records.

Of course, the data that are loaded into the QUEST System should be a test-sized data, so a full version of the data (e.g., 12000 for the number of hundreds of U-I accounts to process), would be overtaxing. Therefore, it is recommended that this number be kept low, so that the QUEST System can still show data, but that it is not slowed down by a big drain on resources. The parameters are as laid out below:

1. Hundreds of Accounts to Process - This integer should be relatively low (under 100). It represents the number of hundreds of U-I accounts that will be processed. For instance, if the parameter is set to 00100, then it will select the first 10,000 (100 x 100) U-I accounts, which will be about 20,000 accounts (since master accounts would be counted once on the U-I count, but could be hundreds or even thousands of times for the worksites involved).

2. Stating Quarter (F/C) - This selection determines whether to include the future quarter with the IMT data, or not. It has the following values:

  • a. “F” - Select the future quarter as the newest IMT quarter (this would have one fewer quarters (e.g., for 17/2 in the current quarter and 17/3 for the future, it would have 17/3-16/2 quarters on the IMT)).
  • b. “C” - Select the current quarter as the newest IMT quarter. This would have more historical data available, but would exclude the future quarter, if it had data present (e.g., for 17/2 in the current quarter, it would have 17/2-16/1 quarters on the IMT).

The 084C job can be run whenever it is desirable to do so, and will refresh the selected data. However, it is necessary that the FTP protocol (whether using Reflection software, or another that will work equally well) will be used to load both the IMT and the IMAT File for processing in the QUEST System.
