QCEW - Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages Program

A Federal/State cooperative program that collects and compiles employment and wage data for workers covered by State Unemployment Insurance (UI) laws, and Federal civilian workers covered by Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE). State Employment Security Agencies collect and compile quarterly UI contribution reports, which are submitted by all employers. These data are maintained in the State in microform and are forwarded to BLS-Washington via data deliverables. Any data from this program is generically referred to as "QCEW" data.
