Job ES2J002F - Micro Edit and Estimation for Future Quarter

Job Features and Functions
- Performs micro estimates for future quarter only
- (option) delinquent estimates
- Performs micro edits on future and current quarters
- Does not update the Micro Edit File or set edit codes in Micro File
- Allows early processing of future quarter data while processing current quarter
Job 002F’s purpose is to allow staff to begin processing future quarter data while current quarter data are still being worked on. Job 002F is performs functions similar to 002D, except it performs partial or full estimates and micro edits on the future and current quarter, instead of the current and prior quarter. 002F can optionally make delinquent estimates and produce hard copy micro estimation and edit reports for analyst review.
Estimates are written to the Micro File, but 002F does not alter the Micro File edit flag settings nor update the Micro Edit File. Because edit flags are not set, records edited by this job will be re-edited with Job 001Q when the future quarter is shifted into the current-quarter position.
The ES2E CICS screen cannot be used to view or resolve errors identified by Job 002F. If discrepancies identified on the 002F edit are corrected, subsequent edits should not reject the record and display them on the exception report.
Because the jobs are similar, Job 002F uses 002D parameters, which must be set in the ES2N CICS screen before submitting Job 002F. Reference the Related Links for more information about Job 002F parameters.
The micro edits performed by this job have tolerance levels that are set in the ES2L CICS screen. Reference Appendix D – Estimation Methods for more information on edit and estimation tolerances.
