Job ES2J002S - Micro Estimation Without Edits and Estimation Report

RUN THIS JOB - As required.

This job executes the following programs (click to link to each program description):

Job Features and Functions

  • Performs current quarter micro partial estimates
    • (optional) delinquent estimates
  • Job 002S uses parameters from Job 002D

Job 002S was designed to be a special situation job to be used when only micro estimations are required. Job 002S bypasses all of the edit steps found in 002D and 002F, making it an estimation-only job for current quarter data. It performs the standard micro estimates on current and prior quarter Micro data. 002S does not bring new data from the Input Micro Transaction (IMT) File into the Micro File, nor does it perform micro edits.

Job 002S uses the same estimation program contained in Jobs 001Q, 001D, and 002D. Partial estimates are automatically performed and delinquent estimates are optionally performed. Therefore, many of the parameters in these jobs are the same as Job 002D. These parameters must be set in the ES2N CICS screen before submitting the job. For more information on Job 002S parameters, view the Related Links.

Note: It should be mentioned that the edit and estimation report sort sequence chosen in Job 001Q remains in effect throughout the quarter, unless subsequently changed in the Lookup File. This means that the estimation reports from 002S will be sorted in the sequence selected in 001Q parameters, unless these sort sequences are changed in the State-specific constants table of the Lookup File. If the sort sequence is changed in the ES2L CICS screen, the estimation report from Job 002S will sort according to the changed sequence. In this situation, Job 002S would not change the sequence of the Micro Edit File, because the edits are not part of this job. Therefore, even though the estimation report would print in the new sequence, the Micro Edit File would remain in the original sequence until a job is run that includes the micro edit program. Since the sequence of this Micro Edit File determines the sequence of the record to record advancement in the ES2E CICS screen, the old sequence in ES2E would remain until a job that includes the micro edits is run to re-sort the Micro Edit File.
