Job ES2J015S - Old (Obsolete) Predecessor/Successor Edit Report (Pre-Version 8.1)

RUN THIS JOB - As required.

This job executes the following programs (click to link to each program description):

Job Features and Functions

  • Selects records w/entries in predecessor or successor field
  • Successor must be inactive in prior quarter

Job 015S is an older version of predecessor/successor editing, used before the Version 8.1 release. It provides features that are not available in the new 015D job and many States continue to run the old version. 015S performs a predecessor/successor edit and produces an Exception Report of records failing the edit.

The report includes records that experienced a change of ownership during a specified quarter, or between the end of the prior quarter and the beginning of the specified quarter, and which failed the predecessor/successor edits. The report can optionally include all predecessor/successor relationships rather than just those failing the edits. The edit itself checks for employment and wage continuity as well as consistency of several administrative fields such as county, NAICS, and auxiliary codes between the predecessor and successor records. This report allows the analyst to quickly identify flagged records with fields considered to be erroneous, which are underlined on the report.

The job also optionally produces a many-to-one and one-to-many report (i.e. multiple records merging into one U-I account or one U-I account splitting into multiple accounts). This includes predecessor/successor relationships for successor records with multiple predecessors or predecessor records with multiple successors.
