Job Features and Functions
- Selects micro file records for inclusion in the non-CIPSEA compliant size-of-firm report
- Option to summarize in CES or 202 format
- Option for statewide, county, or MSA reports
- Option for county totals only / no industry detail
- The reports are summarized by NAICS
- Includes option to mask non-disclosable data
- There is an option to combine worksites into a single unit when in the same county and industry
- There is also option to produce a file instead of hard copy report
Job 019D produces four types of Size-of-Firm Summary Reports.
- The first report is a statewide summary of employment and wages broken out by size class for each of the following industries (NAICS includes 6-digit, 3-digit, Sector, and Grand Totals).
- The second report is a county summary of employment and wages broken out by size class within each county for each of the following industries (NAICS includes Sector, County, and Grand Totals).
- The third report is statewide at sector level.
- The fourth report is for an MSA at sector level.
The MSA report can either be at a total level for all counties within the MSA (if report type 1 is selected), or for each individual county within the MSA (if report type 2 is selected). Each report can be run on an establishment basis (singles and multi sub-units) or firm basis (singles and multi masters). Each report is summed by NAICS code.
An option also exists to mask or suppress data that is non-disclosable (see Job 019C). The reports are intended for local labor market information uses and can be run for any quarter on the Micro File. In addition, an option is available to produce a county report with county totals only by size class. This option does not include any industry detail.
