Job ES2J028S - Run Micro Edits on Back Quarters
RUN THIS JOB - As required.

This job executes the following programs (click to link to each program description):

Job Features and Functions

  • A variation of 028D Job to edit any two consecutive quarters on the Micro File
  • No estimates are performed
  • There is no update to the Micro Edit File
  • Option to re-edit entire file for specified quarters
  • Produces Micro Edit report in various optional formats

Job 028S is a variation of Job 028D. Instead of editing current and prior quarter data on Micro File records, it performs the standard micro edits for any two specified consecutive back quarters. It does not write failed records to the Micro Edit File, but it does produce a report of edit exceptions only. No estimates are performed by this job. The job has an option to either ignore the edited flag, to edit all active records including those previously edited, or respect the edit flag and bypass records previously edited. However, such an edit flag bypass applies solely to the newer quarter. Records on the Micro File that were previously edited and identified with a crucial error are always subject to a re-edit.

Job 028S includes the same edit programs contained in Jobs 001Q, 001D, 002D, 002F and 028D. Therefore, many of the parameters in these jobs are the same as Job 028S. However, the year/quarter parameter to specify the two consecutive quarters in the Micro File to be edited is unique, because the other editing jobs either default to current and prior quarters or, in the case of 002F, to the future and current quarters. The 028S parameters must be set in screen ES2N before submitting the job.

Since the edit report sort parameters established in 001Q control all subsequent quarterly edits, including 028S, no parameter exists in Job 028S to sort the edit exception report. Also, estimates are not performed by 028S. More information on 028S parameters can be referenced in the Related Links.

The micro edits performed by this job use the tolerance levels that are set in the ES2L screen (edit and estimations table).
