Job Features and Functions

  • Creates summary report with counts of types of Micro File edit errors

    • If singles are separated from multi’s in the Micro edit file, the report shows counts for singles, multi’s, and a grand total
    • If singles are not separated from multi’s in the Micro edit file, report is separated by highest order sort

Job 030D produces a report summarizing Micro File records that have remaining edit exceptions. It can be run at any time to provide a current status of remaining errors in the Micro Edit File. The report shows data for several classes of errors:

  • Administrative errors
  • Current quarter errors
  • Prior quarter errors
  • Total of these three categories

For each class of errors, statistics are provided for those errors that are unresolved, commented, bypassed, or commented and bypassed.

The sequence of the report is based on the Micro Edit File. If the Micro Edit File is sorted by QMSA, the report is sorted by QMSA and a set of exception statistics is provided for each QMSA. If the Micro Edit File is not sorted by QMSA, and single records are separated from multi’s, the report shows micro record exception statistics for singles, multi’s, and a total. If the Micro Edit File is not sorted by QMSA and single records are not separated from multi’s, the report is sorted by the highest order sort item and data are shown for each sort group (e.g. County, ownership, etc.). There are a few instances where the high order sort cannot be used, such as error score, account number, etc. In these cases, only a grand total is provided on the report.
