Job Features and Functions

  • Searches the Micro File for records that are qualified for the EQUI report
    • Performs employment and wage only edits for qualified records and assigns a (fester) score to records with errors
  • Produces an EQUI-based employment and wage error report ranked by quarter and order of error score
  • Does not update Micro Edit File
  • There is an option to assign a cutoff score value to eliminate less significant records from report
  • There is also an option to assume that all employment and/or wage fluctuations are seasonal and subtract 5 points from score
  • Does not bring down CICS during the job run

Job 031D produces an EQUI-based multi-quarter score report. This report is produced by first identifying Micro File records that will qualify for the next EQUI report. Employment and wage edits are performed for these identified records and a score is given to those records with employment or wage errors. The report is produced with records that have scores above a specified cut-off point. An option is available to treat all records with errors as seasonal, thus reducing the normal score by 5 points.

Job 031D enacts the edit scoring methodology on all quarters eligible for inclusion on the EQUI, finding any accounts that have high employment and wage volatility, regardless of whether they are on the Micro Edit File. This applies to all quarters that are eligible for inclusion on the EQUI File (2 to 5 quarters). The scoring can be augmented both by the appearance of a seasonal behavior and by the presence of comment codes. Accounts with the highest score will be listed on the final-checks report, along with the year/quarter for which the data are questioned. These should be reviewed one last time before the EQUI is submitted with Job 011D.
