Job 030D - Produce Micro Edit Status Report

Es2j030d.png

Job 030D provides a “snapshot” of the progress of micro editing for the quarter. Progress can be measured in terms of reporting units (establishments), summed employment, or summed total wages. These are broken out into both absolute totals and percentage breakouts, showing those that are as yet untouched, those that have received comments, those that have been bypassed (with the “skip” function on ES2E), and those that have both treatments. These are broken out by the major classification used for edit distribution (QMSA, ownership, multi’s / singles, etc.), with a grand total set at the end of the report. There have been requests from time to time to provide a listing of how many of each person’s accounts have been processed. This is currently the closest feature available in EXPO.

1. Micro File Base Year/Quarter - This field (in ‘yyq’ format) is the quarter for which to draw Micro Edit data in preparing the report. Since the Micro Edit File contains both the current quarter and the prior quarter, this field must match one of those two quarters. Otherwise, the job will not process successfully.

The Micro Edit Status Report can be produced at any time during the course of the quarter. It is used most frequently during the second half of the quarterly cycle to check the progress of the micro edit work-through process. Although it provides a good global picture of the editing status, the specifics related to individual coders are often elusive.
