Federal/Contributions Check - Code 058
This edit compliments the Code 057 edit just described. It checks Federal accounts for the presence of non-zero contributions. The contribution field should always be zero for all Federal government establishments. If the ownership code is ‘10’, or if the type of coverage is ‘9’, any non-zero contributions value will be flagged and listed on the edit exception report. Since this is a crucial-level error, the error will reappear in subsequent edit runs unless the erroneous condition is corrected. BLS classification: A.1.4 or B.1.5, based on employment level. EXPO “G” code: A058 or B058.
