Liability Check - Code 125

This edit acts as a complement to Code 124, which was just described. Instead of looking for reported data on a terminated account (with an EOL date), however, this edit looks for accounts that have an active status code while showing a future initial liability date. These active accounts are not flagged unless they have a significant reported employment or total wage value. Here, as in the previous edit, the PK009 (liable account employment) and PK055 (liable account wage limit) parameters are used as cutoff values for employment and wages, respectively. If the active employer possesses reported employment in any of the three months that exceeds the PK009 limit, or has reported total wages above the PK055 tolerance, the active status conflict with the liability date will be flagged for review.

Note: The BLS definitions show a separate wage limit for this edit than the one used for Code 124. Their default for the Code 125 wage tolerance is looser than the active account check. There will therefore be more accounts eligible for this edit than would normally be the case at BLS.

BLS classification: C.1.8. EXPO “G” code: B125.
