Physical Location Address (PLA) Block Fields

This is the first of three address blocks found in the IMT record. It represents the actual physical location of an establishment, which can be used to determine geocoding assignments, such as longitude/latitude, place code, census block, etc. Fields that are included in this block include: the first and second lines of the physical location street address (shown as IMT-PL-ADDRESS and IMT-PL-ADDRESS2, respectively); the reporting unit description (IMT-RPT-UNIT-DESCR, which is actually not technically a part of the physical location address, but can be used as a physical description of a location); the physical location city name and State postal abbreviation (IMT-PL-CITY and IMT-PL-STATE, respectively); and the physical location zip code (IMT-PL-ZIP). The other two address blocks are the U-I address (originating from the Tax File) and a third, additional address known as the Mailing/Other Address (MOA). Both of these address blocks are described later.
