Job 108D - Load TRS Batch Data into Refiling File

The 108D job is used to bring in the data collected nationally from the Touchtone Response System (TRS), through a batch file maintained under the “CENCO” naming convention. These are 30-byte records that include the CMI code, response code, and fax phone number. There is only one processing option present in this job, applied solely to how the fax phone number is processed, as noted below.

1. Load Fax Numbers - This option determines whether an incoming fax number can replace an existing value in the Micro Auxiliary File. If there is no fax number present, it will always be updated. This switch determines how to handle conflicting numbers.

  • a. ‘A’ (“All”) - This value will always modify the facsimile phone number, using the TRS input data. It assumes that the datum currently on file are obsolete and should be replaced as soon as another value is available.
  • b. ‘B’ (“Only Load if Currently Blank on MOA File”) - This is the fallback position for this parameter, as it takes no special action, but only allows the fax number to be loaded when there currently is none on file.

The 108D job is run whenever a TRS Load File has been established, either at DMA, or transmitted to the State. As such, there are no set dates for running this job, but only as directed by the TRS data collection process.
