UIA Street Address Line 2 (IMT-UI-ADDRESS2)

This is the second line of the U-I tax address block's street address, found in positions 321 - 355 of the IMT record. This field can be used when the first street address line provides incomplete information. For instance, many firms will have both an actual street address for mailings and a post office box number. These can both be represented using these two lines. The disadvantage here is that such a dual address almost always will have a different zip code for the post office box number, even at the five-digit level, than that used for the street address. Therefore the street address line (IMT-UI-ADDRESS) may need to correspond with the U-I mailing address zip code (i.e., the use of the P.O. box zip code in IMT-UI-ZIP implies that the post office box number must go into the first address line, relinquishing the mailing street address to this second address line). This becomes a moot point, however, if the specific mailing utilizes both street address lines, or if the Micro Omni Auxiliary File is used instead of the default U-I address for mailings.

The second U-I street address line should only be specified when it is available (many States use only a single street address line), and if it is present for a new account or may have been modified for an existing account. Otherwise this field should be left as low-values.
