Type of Coverage Check - Code 039
This edit checks for valid types of coverage. This field must be set to one of the following values:
- ‘0’ = experience-rated account
- ‘1’ = reimbursable account
- ‘2’ = experience-rated account with employee contributions (not used by any State)
- ‘3’ = reimbursable account with employee contributions (not used by any State)
- ‘8’ = non-subject (non-taxable) employer
- ‘9’ = Federal account.
Since this is considered a crucial-level error, the edit flag will not be set until the code has been changed to a legitimate value. The type of coverage will be underscored in the ES2UT23 edit report as well. See Codes 056, 059, and 060 for other edits that deal with the type of coverage code. BLS classification: A.1.3 or B.1.3 (depending on size of establishment). EXPO “G” code: A039 or B039.
